“Little Stowe” was Dutch Hill” I never skied it, but I did go look at it a couple of summers ago. I have a penchant for going to lost ski areas and feeling the vibrations surrounding them.
In the article they mention “According to the final decision document, recreation an “open area will be predominantly located around the old trails named Dutch Meadow, Meadow Extension, Connector, and Yankee Doodle, and the upper part of Dyke; these trail areas will be widened.” And that “that maintenance of backcountry ski lines may be conducted by volunteers or an interested partner group or volunteers.” So the area may soon be considered “Lost and Found.”
My adventures last summer took me to Hickory Ski Center outside of Warrensburg. There were shot holes in the windows and artifacts all around. Reviewing their website it appears Hickory has been reopened for 2023/24 which is really cool.

And,
The article also states “Its steep terrain earned it the name “Little Stowe.”
