I think Earl Miller gets the two pronged ski brake nod. Earl Miller competed with Mitch Cubberley in the early releasable safety binding world.
In my first experience with the two pronged brakes they were retro fitted to my Look Nevada toe pieces, the pronges pointed forward. Great for clearing brush in woods. Later Look models integrated the brake with the pronges to the rear.
