OK. I’ll try again this week. Not having any luck with googling it. A bathtub is another term for a sitzmark. Final answer.

I’m guessing when skiing crossed the ocean, American skiers wanted to create its own lingo for the established terms used in Europe. It’s interesting that sitzmark prevailed.
