Wow. I just read your post at http://retro-skiing.com/2011/04/tuckerman-ravine/ about 7/4/69.
I was there too. I was also part of the volunteer rescue team.
I had made about three runs and was half way down the slope when I heard someone yell “My boy!”.
I stopped, turned and watched them both bounce over the rocks.
I still cringe to this day when I remember this.
I have a picture somewhere of me standing in a crevice.
Did you camp at the base camp? I was one of the guys with harmonicas. Slept in a lean to. Still remember the fireworks echoing around the ravine.
