This may be more info than you want. In the summer of 1979 snowmaking was installed on over seven miles of trails on Mansfield.. Warm temps in the fall prevented snowmaking but the mountain finally opened Dec 16 on machine-made snow. There was still no snow by end of Dec. and Christmas week was virtually lost. Rain Christmas day.
Snowmaking installed on Perry Merrill and Gondolier in summer of 1981. Spruce snowmaking was installed in 1967.
